Our Service

At CDBrief, we transform your written brief, legal authority, clerk's papers, trial court transcripts and exhibits into a hyperlinked legal brief on a single CD-ROM.

Why CDBrief ?

More reasons to choose us

Make your brief more readable and persuasive

» Submit your appellate briefs and record on CD-ROM for both routine and complex appeals, as suggested by the Washington State Supreme Court in a 2000 case:

The parties also submitted their briefs in CD-ROM form with hyperlinks to the record and the cases cited. We express sincere appreciation to the parties for doing this, as it greatly enhanced our ability to handle this case. The savings to the Court in time-motion efforts alone enabled us to retrieve and examine relevant parts of the record with ease, and made the record far more accessible than it would have otherwise been. The materials in this case occupy about 50 banker's boxes.

We note that there is no reason why parties in more routine appeals to this Court should not seriously consider submitting the record and briefs to us in a similar format.

Alcoa v. Aetna Cas. & Sur. Co., 140 Wn.2d 517, fn. 1, 998 P.2d 856 (2000).

Convenient for the Court, Attorney and Client

» A CDBrief makes it much easier for the Court and law clerks to check and review materials cited in the briefs.

» The appellate attorney will appreciate a CDBrief because it will assist you in preparation for oral argument. You will be able to access all the briefs, the entire record and all cited cases from your CDBrief wherever you are working. You will no longer need to review bulky paper files. CD-ROMs are portable and make working outside the office an easy option.

» Your clients will also appreciate a CDBrief because they can read your entire brief and all the references to the cases and trial court record by reviewing a single CD-ROM.
